FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 💡
You have questions. We welcome them.
This is a place for clarity, not perfection.
We’re still growing, and your questions help us get better.
Below are answers to some of the things people often ask us —
and if your question isn’t listed, please reach out.
-
EVE stands for Empowering Voices Everywhere. We’re a mission-led company and grassroots movement in the process of building an ecosystem using technology, advocacy, and education to uplift the voices of those who have been silenced, ignored, or underserved in healthcare — and beyond.
-
We are a company at heart, rooted in equity and access — but we also develop tools that challenge the system from within. We believe ethical innovation can coexist with care. Profit is never the point. People are.
-
EVE was born from queer resilience, and LGBTQ+ care is in our DNA — but our mission is broader. We support anyone who has felt voiceless, invisible, or left behind by the system: patients with disabilities, people of color, immigrants, caregivers, the unhoused, and more.
-
Right now, you can access free digital tools like the Appointment Prep Tool and Caregiver Reflection Tool, as well as our curated Resource Library. Tools like the BEAT Score, OttoMate, and our wearable devices (SAFE Band, Guarden, and SOS) are currently in development.
-
We are currently funded through personal investment, grassroots donations, and crowdfunding support. In the future, we aim to blend grant funding, ethical partnerships, and optional paid services that help subsidize free access for those in need.
-
Yes. EVE’s tools are designed with consent, accessibility, and autonomy at the core. No tool is ever used to track, judge, or control. If it doesn’t protect and uplift, we don’t build it.
-
The BEAT Score (Bias Evaluation & Accountability Tracking) is an upcoming tool that allows patients to anonymously share their healthcare experiences and help identify patterns of bias or mistreatment. It’s a way to say: this mattered — and this needs to change.
-
EVE was created by Andrew Charles Dunn (he/him), a nurse and storyteller who believes that every voice matters — especially the ones that haven’t been heard. EVE is a love letter to everyone who’s ever felt unseen in a waiting room.
-
You can donate, share our story, join our mailing list, or volunteer your time and gifts. We’re especially grateful for storytellers, tech developers, healthcare workers, creatives, and people with lived experience.
-
Every dollar supports our mission — whether funding free coaching, building new tools, supporting unhoused individuals with wearable safety tech, keeping our platform alive and accessible, or providing stability and support for the founder.
